On game days, rides on UTA buses, TRAX, and FrontRunner trains are free with a valid Utah Football ticket, including the new postgame bus service from the stadium to the Court House TRAX station. For more information, please visit UTA.com.
Parking lots open five hours before kickoff, with the exception of the Signature and tailgate lots, which open at 6 a.m. A parking map can be found here. Tailgating is only allowed in designated lots. Alcohol, RVs, trailers, and tailgating are not permitted in lots 15, 18, or 19.
Stadium gates open two hours before kickoff. To speed up the process for entry into Rice-Eccles Stadium, fans are encouraged to arrive early and review the most efficient route from their parking lot or the Trax station and determine the most appropriate stadium gate for entry.
In line with the University of Utah’s commitment to providing a safe atmosphere for spectators, student-athletes, coaches, and visitors within Rice-Eccles Stadium, walk-through detector technology will be implemented at all entry gates beginning this season. Please follow the instructions of the security staff at the entry gates.
Fans parking in on-campus lots north of the stadium may find the quickest entry through Honda Gate G, on the northeast corner of the stadium, off South Campus Drive, or continue to Gates H, J, or K.
Fans coming from all lots east of the stadium are encouraged to walk toward 500 South and continue west toward the large entrance at Gate L, on the southeast corner of the stadium. This entrance is equipped with the greatest number of staff and ticket-scanning devices to handle a high volume of traffic. Check out Gate on 500 South!
Those who park in the west lot but have seats on the east side or in the south end zone also would likely find faster entry through Gate L on 500 South.
Students are encouraged to enter Rice-Eccles Stadium through Gate L for the quickest entry to the MUSS section.
For those arriving via TRAX, please note that there are three gates for entry on the west side of the stadium: Gates F, D, and the Cauldron Stairs.
All main stadium gates also feature a no-bag line for express entry. See a gate map here.
Rice-Eccles Stadium operates on a clear-bag policy and offers no-bag lanes at all main gates to help expedite entry for those not bringing a bag into the stadium. Only clear bags up to 12″x 18″ will be allowed inside the stadium. No bags, purses, or duffels may be brought into the stadium, with the exception of small clutch bags no larger than 6.5” x 4.5”.
One factory-sealed bottle of water per person (1 liter or less) is permitted in the stadium. Bottled water may not be frozen. In an effort to be sustainable, empty personal water bottles (1 liter or less) will be permitted, and the stadium offers 44 water bottle refill dispensers at 10 locations throughout the stadium. A map can be found here. Glass water bottles are prohibited. Additionally, all fountain drink dispensers at concessions stands will offer drinking water on one of the valves.
The University of Utah’s Auxiliary Services department has implemented several improvements in infrastructure and processes to enhance the fan experience at Rice-Eccles Stadium in 2024, including the installation of a dedicated Wi-Fi network and processes to improve efficiency with concessions sales and reduce congestion on the concourses.
All ADA seating is provided on a first-come, first-served basis. For additional information on ADA seating, please contact our University Ticket Office at 801-581-8849. There are designated ADA stalls in every parking lot on the University of Utah Campus. Gate C, Gate E, Gate J, and Gate L are ADA-accessible gates. Gates C and E allow elevator access to the West Tower levels, and Gate H allows elevator access to the top of the bowl. A parking map can be found here. For more information on ADA services at Rice-Eccles Stadium, visit the stadium website here.

Gather outside Gate L on 500 South by 3:15 p.m. to greet the team as they step off the bus. The Arrival makes Utes fans the official welcome party for the team before each home game. Enjoy food, live music, and exclusive t-shirts for the first 75 fans before each of Utah’s six home games, which will only be available when the team arrives at Rice-Eccles Stadium before the games.
The safety of student-athletes and spectators is a top priority for all Utah Athletics home events. We ask all fans to extend a sincere “Welcome to Utah” to all by being respectful and responsible when attending our events, helping create a home-field advantage for our teams in a way that also shows class and sportsmanship toward visiting teams. The FanUP initiative exists to define the expected fan behavior at our home venues and is centered around:
Profanity, public intoxication, rude and disrespectful behavior, racial and derogatory comments, or verbal attacks directed at individuals or groups will not be tolerated. Anyone who engages in unlawful, unsafe, or inappropriate conduct will be removed from the premises, and we encourage all fans to help us identify and call out such behavior. Please read President Taylor Randall and Athletics Director Mark Harlan’s “Welcome to Utah” letter to fans.
